Walnut Creek Elder Law has practiced estate planning, trusts, probate, and long-term care planning for East Bay families since 1991. It is all we do, and we have done it for the parents, and now the children, of many of the same families.
We start with the family, not the form.
The first meeting is a conversation about who you are protecting and what worries you. The documents follow from that, not the other way round.
Plain language, always.
You will understand every page you sign. If a clause cannot be explained in a sentence, we rewrite the clause.
Finished means funded.
A trust that does not hold your assets protects nothing. We stay with you through retitling so the plan actually works.
Our Founder
Michael J. Young
Michael founded the firm in 1991 after seeing how often families arrived at probate court with problems a few hours of planning would have prevented. He wrote a plain language guide to California estate planning that is still handed to new clients, and began the free monthly workshops the firm continues to host today.
