Helping Clients and Prospects During This Crazy Time!

Letter to My Clients

COVID-19 Coronavirus

Let me first say that we hope all of you are doing well and keeping safe.

Existing clients and prospects are calling, asking for help them NOW, in light of the present health crisis. Our answer is a resounding, “Yes we can!”
Callers express their desire to complete estate planning documents as soon as possible. Many express interest in our advanced estate planning, which includes regular estate planning. This includes the answer to the question, “What happens when you die?” We also cover asset protection and Medi-Cal planning for a potential nursing home stay. Medi-Cal is alive and well in California. And we are conversant and up-to- date with the State’s latest regulations and requirements.

As I say in my workshops, “We do planning for not only what happens if you die, but also for what happens if you don’t die, and become ill along the way.”TLetter to My Clients
Our practice procedures have changed somewhat, in that we have established procedures and protocols to observe social distancing to keep everyone safe. We can  conduct initial contact meetings with clients via Zoom and Facetime. Both of these platforms have become very easy to use.

To Our Clients

We send drafts of estate planning documents to our clients in the mail, as usual. We also communicate by e-mail and PDF attachments upon request. I can review drafts of the documents with our clients remotely. This way, we make sure to answer questions and meet concerns. This process ensures that signing will be quick and easy.

Face Masks Client ProtectionAt the signing, we use masks, Purell and keep the proper social distancing. Documents are passed to the clients with the signature pages flagged. We have also completed remote signings using Zoom, where clients can sign at home. In those cases, traveling notaries utilized, who are equipped to follow all protocols. We can also do parking lot signings, where the clients stay in their cars, and signature pages are passed on a clip board.
In any event, it is business as usual, with a few modifications. We are here to help you, so please feel free to contact us.
Sincerely,

Michael J. Young
